The participants are required to have a significant commitment both personally and financially.

A Brief History of Jewellery
Jewellery has been worn by humans for thousands of years for various purposes including decoration, religious and cultural symbols, and as a sign of social status. The first jewellery was made from materials like shells, stones, and animal bones and was used by early humans in Africa around 75,000 years ago. In Egypt, jewellery was worn by royalty and high-ranking officials as a sign of power and wealth. In Ancient Rome, jewellery was used to show one’s social status and as a symbol of power. During the Middle Ages, jewellery became more ornate and elaborate, often featuring precious gemstones and intricate designs. In the 19th century, jewellery became more affordable and widely available due to advances in technology and the discovery of new sources of precious metals and gemstones. Today, jewellery continues to be an important part of human culture and is worn for a variety of reasons including sentimental value, fashion, and tradition.
Jewellex 2023
Jewellex is an international jewellery exhibition held every two years in Johannesburg, South Africa. The event offers a platform for jewellery designers and manufacturers to display their latest products and innovations in the industry. It attracts exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, with a focus on the African continent. Jewellex 2023 is the upcoming edition of this exhibition and is expected to take place in 2023.
